Crusher hammers play an important role in various fields. According to the different types of crushed objects, crusher hammers are also classified differently. Crusher hammers are one of the core components of hammer crushers. They are arranged on the hammer shaft of the crusher rotor and directly hit the material when the hammer crusher is in operation.
What are the types of crusher hammers and what are their uses?
1. Forged crusher hammersForged crusher hammers are suitable for crushing pebbles, coal gangue, limestone, etc.
Forged crusher hammers are made of hub steel, material 65Mn, with good impact resistance, strong toughness, good wear resistance, and not easy to break. The metal blanks are repeatedly forged by forging machinery to deform them to obtain certain mechanical properties, certain shapes and sizes. After a special quenching heat treatment method, the working area of the hammer is guaranteed to have high hardness and high wear resistance.
Forging can eliminate defects such as cast looseness produced by metal during the smelting process and optimize the microstructure. At the same time, due to the preservation of complete metal flow lines, the mechanical properties of forgings are generally better than those of castings. Forged hammers are favored by the majority of users because of their low price, economical and durable characteristics.
2. High manganese steel crusher hammersAlloyed high manganese steel wear-resistant hammer, reliable quality, wear resistance is three times that of traditional high manganese steel. The crusher hammer is widely used in large limestone crushers supporting the new dry cement production line in China. With the continuous development of wear-resistant materials, high manganese steel has gradually become unsuitable for the development of modern casting industry.
High manganese steel hammers are replaced by chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, high chromium cast iron and nickel-hard cast iron. However, the high toughness of high manganese steel is unmatched by other wear-resistant materials. High manganese steel crusher hammer has good toughness, good processability and low price. Its main feature is that under the action of large impact or contact stress, the surface layer will quickly produce work hardening, and its work hardening index is 5-7 times higher than other materials, and the wear resistance is greatly improved.
However, the high manganese steel crusher hammer has high requirements for the overall performance of the crusher. If the physical impact force is not enough or the contact stress is small in actual work, the surface cannot be quickly hardened, and its wear resistance cannot be exerted. Therefore, we hope that customers should choose according to the actual parameters of the equipment before use, and modify the equipment if necessary to maximize its economic benefits.
3. High chromium alloy crusher hammersThe high chromium alloy crusher hammer has excellent hardness and is a wear-resistant material. It has been widely used in fine crushers and impact crushers with supporting hammer frames.
However, high chromium alloy has poor toughness and is prone to breakage without the support of hammer frames. High chromium composite hammer, that is, the hammer handle uses high manganese steel and the hammer working area uses high chromium alloy. The two are combined to make the hammer head have high hardness and the hammer handle has high toughness, giving full play to the respective advantages of the two materials and overcoming the shortcomings of a single material, meeting the performance requirements of the hammer.
It is especially suitable for crushing high-hardness materials such as quartz stone and basalt. However, the traditional manufacturing process is complex, the process requirements are strict, and the price is high.
4. Carbide hammer headCompared with other materials, carbide hammer head has higher hardness, bending strength and impact resistance, thermal fatigue resistance, good thermal hardness, and low cost. It solves the problems of cracks, desoldering, collapse, and block falling that are easy to occur in high manganese materials.
Advantages of carbide hammer head:
1. Ultra-high wear resistance, which is more than 20 times that of high manganese steel hammer head.
2. Good resistance to mechanical shock and thermal shock.
3. Wide range of applications, basically suitable for all crushing industries.
5. Bimetallic crusher hammersThe hammer head of the crusher cast with two different metal liquids is a bimetallic hammer head.
The bimetallic hammer head ensures the toughness of the hammer handle while the hammer head part has hardness and wear resistance. The temperature of the bimetallic hammer head during quenching is crucial. Generally, the appropriate quenching temperature is selected according to the thickness of the part wall. The higher the quenching temperature, the higher the hardenability. Therefore, a reasonable casting and heat treatment process must be formulated in the production of the hammer head.
If the crusher hammer head is not cast properly, it will cause defects such as pores. When the pouring system of the crusher hammer is not designed correctly, the eddy current of the molten metal will entrain gas, thus causing pores; when casting the hammer, the exhaust is poor and the gas cannot be discharged from the mold, which will also cause pores. This requires us to strictly control the pouring temperature during pouring, and pouring evenly without interruption. In order to facilitate the exhaust of the mold, inclined pouring can be used.
The crusher hammer will show different degrees of wear after use. Due to the low-impact working conditions, the surface hardening effect of the hammer will also be aggravated. The wear of the hammer refers to the gradual separation of the metal hammer surface from the matrix under the action of mechanical force, resulting in changes in the performance of the hammer. Wear has the greatest impact on the service life of the hammer.
