Steel slag is a collection of various minerals and glassy substances. Due to different chemical compositions and cooling conditions, the appearance and color of steel slag vary greatly. Steel slag with lower alkalinity is gray, while steel slag with higher alkalinity is brown-gray or off-white. The main containers for steel slag are slag pots and slag basins.
Steel slag produced according to different smelting processes can be mainly divided into converter slag, electric furnace slag, casting slag and stainless steel slag, etc.
1) Converter slag is the waste slag produced during converter steelmaking, mainly from impurities brought in by metal charge, oxides formed by oxidation of elements contained in scrap steel and molten iron, addition of desulfurization products, oxidants, slag-forming agents such as limestone, and corroded lining materials, etc.;
2) Electric furnace slag is the molten slag produced during electric furnace steelmaking, mainly from impurities brought in during charging, addition of slag-forming materials such as silica and limestone, oxides formed by oxidation reaction of elements such as iron, sulfur, and phosphorus in metal charge, and corroded lining materials, etc.;
3) Casting slag is the mixture of slag and molten steel left after ingot casting or continuous casting in the ladle;
4) Stainless steel slag is the waste slag produced during the smelting of 200.400 series stainless steel. Compared with converter slag, its mineral composition has a higher content of chromium-nickel-iron alloy.
Slag pot is a main container for steel slag. The cast steel slag pot produced by Tenfaye is made of arc molten steel and can meet international flaw detection standards. The slag pot can be customized according to your drawings. Please send your requirements to
