In the cement, mining, and chemical industries, rotary kilns are essential equipment. Beneath the rotating equipment of the rotary kiln, the
support rollers bear immense weight and are key components ensuring overall axial balance.
How does Tenfaye improve the durability of its support rollers, reducing downtime and unnecessary costs?
I. Superior Materials Solve Deformation Problems
During operation, the rotary kiln support rollers face the pressure of gravity and withstand the high temperatures transmitted by the kiln body. Traditional castings are prone to cracking and even spalling after prolonged use.
Material Selection: We use high-strength materials such as ZG42CrMo or ZG45. Compared to ordinary cast iron, this material has higher tensile strength and toughness.
150-ton Casting Capability: Tenfaye possesses strong casting capabilities, enabling us to perform integral casting of ultra-large support rollers, ensuring a dense internal structure.
II. Precision Machining of Rotary Kiln Support Rollers
Even a slight deviation in the cylindricity of the support rollers, accumulated over several revolutions per minute, will generate severe vibrations in the kiln body, damaging the tire and internal refractory bricks.
CNC Precision Turning: We use large CNC vertical lathes to precision machine the roller surface, strictly controlling tolerances.
Perfect Contact Surface: The precision-ground roller surface ensures over 90% effective contact with the tire (tyre).
III. Deep Heat Treatment: A Perfect Balance of Hardness and Toughness
The roller surface of the support roller needs sufficient hardness to resist wear, but the core must maintain toughness to absorb impact.
Normalizing + Tempering Process: Each Tenfaye support roller undergoes a rigorous heat treatment cycle. By precisely controlling the temperature control curve, we eliminate casting internal stress, giving the roller body an extremely deep hardened layer. This "hard outside, tough inside" characteristic extends the service life of the support rollers by more than 30% compared to conventional products.
IV. Quality Inspection
In the heavy equipment industry, "invisible" defects are often the most fatal.
Non-destructive Testing (NDT): Our quality control team performs UT (ultrasonic testing) and MT (magnetic particle testing) on every support wheel.
Full Process Traceability: Every product leaving the factory comes with a complete material report, dimensional inspection report, and heat treatment curve. This extreme transparency in quality is the core reason why we have won the trust of global mining and cement giants.
Tenfaye can manufacture according to customer-provided drawings.
