large girth gear.
Method One:
1, turn the damaged gear teeth upward, use a flat shovel to flatten the fracture, and then use a drill bit with a diameter slightly smaller than the width of the trimmed surface to drill holes with a hole spacing of 0.9-1.2 times the hole diameter. When the tooth shape is less damaged, the hole spacing can be appropriately larger.
2, select a tap matching the hole diameter for tapping, with a depth of 1.5-2.0 times the hole diameter. Screw a bolt whose length is the depth of the hole plus the height of the tooth into each hole. After tightening, use surfacing welding to make the tooth shape of large girth gear.
3, use a hand grinder to grind it so that the new welded tooth shape is basically the same as the original tooth shape.
This is an emergency treatment method. Pay attention to emptying the material and grinding body before repairing, and avoid using hammers, flat shovels and gas welding during the shaping process. In order to ensure the repair quality, the casting steel large girth gear uses cold welding method, and the casting iron large girth gear uses hot welding method. If possible, the tooth shape of the side that contacts the pinion can be prepared in advance and welded to the bolt.
Method Two:
1, heat the area around the surfacing part with an oxygen-acetylene flame to about 300°C, then perform surfacing and inspect it with a tooth-shaped sample.
2, After surfacing welding, machine tool cutting can be used, or manual grinding wheels, shovels, and files can be used to trim the tooth shape, and tooth shape templates can be used to verify the tooth shape and pitch so that the tooth shape is basically consistent with the original tooth shape size.
3, use oxygen-acetylene flame or other heating methods to perform local surface heat treatment.
Method Three:
Replace the large girth gear. If you do not want to repair the large girth gear, then change one is a good method.
