A crack appeared in the large ring gear at the position of the spring plate, and the length of the crack continued to extend as the operating time increased. How should we solve this problem?
The large ring gear is one of the most critical components in the rotary kiln transmission device. The manufacturing precision and installation quality of the large ring gear directly affect the stability of the rotary kiln operation, which in turn affects the service life of the lining and the operation rate of the rotary kiln. Under normal circumstances, if the foundation sinks, the wheel belt, supporting wheel, wheel belt backing plate, etc. are worn, the gap between the large ring gear and the small wheel will be too small and tooth tipping will occur, resulting in serious gear deformation, changes in gear coincidence, and poor meshing. Stablize. As a result, the kiln vibrates heavily, the butt bolts break frequently, and in severe cases, the spring plate breaks or even the ring gear cracks. Once the large ring gear breaks, if it is not dealt with in time, it will cause a major equipment accident in which the large ring gear is scrapped. The general treatment is mostly bevel welding repair, which takes a long time. After on-site analysis, it was found that due to the wear of the wheel belt, wheel belt backing plate and supporting wheel, the gap between the large ring gear and the small wheel was too small, causing the tooth top phenomenon. The joint of the spring plate of the large ring gear was too stressed to cause cracks, which needed to be dealt with in time. , eliminate safety hazards.
Solution:
First, adjust the rotary kiln supporting wheel and raise the kiln barrel to increase the gap of the open gear to prevent the tooth top phenomenon.
Then, after setting out and calculating, a clamp for fastening and repairing is designed. The clamp is made of 30mm steel plate and divided into two parts, connected by M42 high-strength bolts in the middle. The clamp is designed and manufactured according to the shape of the large ring gear and spring plate, and the size of the spring plate hinged bolts. The clamp installation mainly uses the hexagonal tails and nuts of the hinged bolts that install the spring plates on both sides of the large ring gear crack to fix it, and then tighten the middle connecting bolt of the clamp.
The reamed bolts can quickly and effectively deal with the cracking of the large ring gear of the rotary kiln. It has high reference significance for the emergency treatment of the cracking of the same type of ring gear and improves repair efficiency and reduces losses, which greatly avoids economic losses and potentially major disasters.
