The difference between gyratory crusher and cone crusher
Gyratory crusher and cone crusher mainly differ in the shape of crushing chamber, the suspension method of movable cone, dust removal device, the method of adjusting the discharge port, output, price and other aspects.
1. Crushing chamber shape
The two cones of gyratory crusher are steeply inclined, the movable cone is upright, and the fixed cone is an inverted truncated cone, in order to increase the feeding block size.
The two cones of cone crusher are both gently inclined, upright truncated cones, with a certain length of parallel crushing area (parallel belt) between them. In order to control the particle size requirements of ore products, because the medium and fine crushing are different from the coarse crushing crusher, it is based on the crushing product quality and production capacity as a consideration.
2. Movable cone suspension method
The movable cone of the gyratory crusher is suspended on the crossbeam on the upper part of the machine; while the movable cone of the cone crusher is supported on a spherical bearing.
3. Dust removal device
The gyratory crusher adopts a dry dust prevention device; the cone crusher uses a water seal dust prevention device.
4. Feeding/discharging
The feeding particle size of the gyratory crusher is ≤1300mm, and the adjustment range of the discharge port is 152-305mm;
The feeding particle size of the cone crusher is ≤450mm, and the adjustment range of the discharge port is 3-64mm;
5. Adjusting the discharge port method
The gyratory crusher changes the size of the discharge port by adjusting the rise or fall of the movable cone.
The cone crusher adjusts the height position of the fixed cone (adjustment ring) to adjust the width of the discharge port.
6. Different prices
The price difference between the two is still relatively large, and most of the two models are around hundreds of thousands to millions. However, the life of the wearing parts is longer, which avoids the trouble of frequent replacement of parts. The specific choice of which equipment needs to be considered in many aspects in combination with the needs.
7. Output Size
The output of the gyratory crusher is 2354-14082 tons per hour, which is relatively high. It has an ultra-heavy frame, a large-diameter integral main shaft and high-precision cast bearings. The whole machine has higher strength and longer service life, ensuring reliable continuous high-intensity production.
The output of the cone crusher is 12-2181 tons per hour. Compared with other crushing equipment, it also has a high output. The design of large eccentricity and high swing frequency can enable the equipment to operate at a lower speed, which can change the grading of the product to produce less fine materials, bringing higher output and larger.
