Rotary kiln equipment refers to a rotating calcining kiln, commonly known as a rotary kiln, which belongs to the category of building materials equipment. Rotary kiln equipment can be divided into cement kilns, metallurgical chemical kilns and lime kilns according to different materials processed.

Cement kilns are mainly used for calcining cement clinker and are divided into two categories: dry production cement kilns and wet production cement kilns. The metallurgical chemical kiln is mainly used in the metallurgical industry for magnetization and roasting of lean iron ore in steel plants; oxidation roasting of chromium and nickel iron ore; roasting of high-alumina vanadium ore in refractory materials plants and roasting of clinker and aluminum hydroxide in aluminum plants; roasting of chromium ore in chemical plants. and chromium ore powder and other similar minerals. Lime kiln is used to bake activated lime and light-burned dolomite used in steel plants and ferroalloy plants.
The structural components of the rotary kiln equipment are:
1. Shell: The kiln body of a zinc oxide rotary kiln is generally made of 20 mm thick steel plates welded into a cylinder.

Girth gear: The girth gear is not directly attached to the kiln body, but is installed on the kiln body through the base pad. Its function is to strengthen the zinc oxide rotary kiln body and at the same time transfer the weight of the cylinder to the support roller.

Kiln support roller and kiln support roller shaft: The kiln support roller is installed on the kiln support roller shaft through heat installation, and the kiln support roller shaft is installed in two bearings with bronze bearings. The bearings are cooled with water. The temperature of the water coming out should not exceed 25 degrees.
4. Thrust roller: The thrust roller is a limiting device that limits the position of the zinc oxide rotary kiln body on the supporting wheel, but it cannot stop the up and down movement of the nest body.
5. Transmission device: Zinc oxide rotary kiln generally uses gears to drive rotation.
Working Principles of Rotary Kiln:
The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, slightly inclined to the horizontal, slowly rotating about its longitudinal axis. The process raw materials are fed into the upper end of the cylinder. As the kiln rotates, the material gradually moves to the lower end and may be subject to a certain amount of stirring and mixing. The hot gases flow along the kiln, sometimes in the same direction as the process material, but often in the opposite direction. The hot gases can be produced in an external furnace or can be produced by a flame inside the kiln. This flame is emitted from a burner tube that acts like a large Bunsen burner. The fuel can be natural gas, petroleum, powdered petroleum coke or pulverized coal.
