Rotary kiln is a common equipment for calcining various materials. Its large girth gear is very large in diameter and weight. It is usually made into two halves or four pieces. This article mainly talks about the method of splicing the two halves of the rotary kiln:
1. Clean the joint surface of the half ring gear, and stagger the position of the ring gear connecting rod on the cylinder and the longitudinal weld.
2. Install ten installation tools at ten equal locations around the center line of the ring gear on the cylinder body, and fix it on the cylinder body by spot welding. Then hoist the ring gear, connect the two halves of the ring gear firmly according to the drawing requirements, use positioning shafts and hot-fitting bolts to connect the joints to form a whole, and use a feeler gauge to check the gap between the joints.
3. Use the radial and axial adjustment bolts on the installation tool to fix and adjust the ring gear. Check the distance between the lateral centerline of the ring gear and the reference ring gear (near the kiln rear end), and adjust so that the deviation is no more than ±1.5mm. And make the distance from the outer ring of the ring gear to the simplified body basically equal, and the center of the large ring gear should coincide with the center of the cylinder.
4. Turn the simplified body and check the radial runout and end face runout of the ring gear. After adjustment, the radial runout is not greater than 1.5mm and the end face runout is not greater than 1mm.
5. After adjusting it appropriately, fix it on the kiln body with the gear connecting rod. Pre-assemble 8 of the 12 connecting rods, and spot weld their corresponding connecting seats to the cylinder.
6. Loosen the radial and axial adjustment bolts on the installation tool, and then check whether the radial and end face runout of the ring gear meet the above requirements. If not, readjust until it meets the requirements.
